Food and drink factory workers ensure food and beverages are created or cooked, bottled, packaged and shipped off to retail outlets.

Work is either in a factory or industrial setting. Shift work and extended time on your feet are common.

  • measure, peel and slice, mix and cook ingredients
  • add spices and preservatives to food and beverages
  • control the temperature and automated processes for making products
  • monitor the quality of the product and record results during the production process
