Accountants provide services related to taxation, financial reporting, auditing and budgeting. They also provide advice on compliance and financial or business matters.

Work is in an office environment, however travel to meet clients at their place of business or at their home may be required.

Suited for well organised people who are comfortable working with numbers and able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of people.


  • prepare financial statements and reports for clients or businesses
  • track incoming and outgoing money for individuals or companies
  • develop, forecast and check budgets
  • prepare and submit tax returns for individuals or organisations
  • conduct financial investigations, prepare reports and undertake audits
  • advise on business matters such as buying and selling of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
  • appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects
  • ensure information in financial reports is accurate
  • ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
